anor

Meet people who are actually nearby.

Anor shows you who's in the same coffee shop, bar, or block — right now. Not just somewhere in the same city.

In early access. Currently soft-launching in Sylva, NC and surrounding areas.

What's different

Most "nearby" apps show you everyone within a few miles whether they're in the same room or three towns over. Anor uses real-time proximity (GPS + Bluetooth) so when you see someone on the app, they're actually somewhere you could walk to in the next ten minutes.

You also choose how you're showing up — Open, Connect, Focus, or Spark — so people know whether you want to be approached, want to be left alone, or want to actually meet someone today.

Built for trust, not extraction

Messages auto-delete after 90 days. Analytics are opt-in only. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads. The full architecture is documented and the source is on GitHub.

The bigger reason

Anor's structured so that profit doesn't flow into one founder's bank account. The founder takes a market-rate salary; everything else goes to building housing for low-income and unhoused Americans, starting with western North Carolina.
